Cell & Craft: connect the Etsy shop
Everything on this page runs in your browser only. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere except Etsy.
Step 1: start
- Make sure you are signed in to Etsy as the CellAndCraftCo shop account in this browser.
- Paste the app Keystring (Etsy → Your Apps). It is public, not a secret.
- Click Connect to Etsy, then click Allow on Etsy's page. Stay in this tab.

Step 2: get the token
Etsy said yes. Click the button. A new tab opens with some text from Etsy.
In the new tab, find "refresh_token":"…". Copy the value between the quotes after it (it starts with digits and a dot, like 12345678.AbC…). Save it in Paperclip Secrets as ETSY_REFRESH_TOKEN, bound to Wren. Then close both tabs.
The new tab shows an error instead?
If it says "expired" or "invalid_grant": click Start over below and repeat. It takes about one minute.
If it mentions "API key" or "shared_secret": this Etsy app needs the shared secret for this step, so the token can't be fetched from a web page. Paste the Shared secret here. It stays on this page and is not sent anywhere.
Windows: open PowerShell from the Start menu, paste this, press Enter. It prints the token.
Mac: open Terminal, paste this, press Enter. Copy the refresh_token value.
Each command is used once and needs a fresh consent if more than a few minutes have passed. Clear PowerShell history afterwards with Clear-History.
